Practices

Where we have
actually operated.

IQ4hire sources across 17 categories and 486 pre-validated vendors. These are the areas where we did not just source it — we ran it, owned the budget and lived with the decision.

Practice · AI & Automation

We have run this experiment before.

Ford tested rule-based and learning AI head to head in production in the late 1980s. Our practice is led by the person who ran the testing that decided what shipped.

18 patents from the team · MIT Sloan · documented by Kurzweil, 1990

Practice · Data Center & Resiliency

Drawn the floor plan. Run the recovery test.

Data center, colocation, outsourcing and disaster recovery, evaluated by people who have owned the facility and negotiated the contract.

Saved $72M at McDonald’s · $48M DR program at CNA · 4 recovery tests passed

Practice · Telecom & Connectivity

Circuits, carriers, and the invoice.

Where the contract and the bill disagree. Led by an IT director who has carried the billing and renegotiated with the carriers.

$4M billing carried · 50% cost cut · $750K+ saved · 550+ sites

Practice · Migrations

The selection is easy. The cutover is not.

ERP, cloud, mainframe exit, POS and data center moves — advised by someone who ran the selection and then owned the cutover.

$130M ERP program · mainframe retired · 14K price changes/day at cutover

Practice · Digital & Strategy

Digital is a P&L, not a project.

Digital transformation, commerce and technology strategy from a CDO who carried the growth number and a former strategy-practice partner.

30%+ annual growth sustained 3½ years · 40 direct reports · strategy P&L

Practice · Cyber Security

Three different purchases, sold as one.

MSP, MSSP and security consulting all answer the same RFP and are not the same thing. We have just run the evaluation across all three.

2 live engagements · 3 delivery models compared · perimeter security since 1986

Practice · Contact Center & CX

The platform demo is not the hard part.

Routing design, queue structure and the metrics the floor runs on decide the outcome — and none of it is in the vendor comparison.

2,000 users supported · 1.5% abandon rate · call center designed and built

Practice · Software Licensing & SAM

The renewal is not a renewal anymore.

Perpetual licenses ended, catalogs collapsed into bundles, pricing moved per-core. The contract you signed is not the one you are renewing.

$700K license relief · 72-core floor modeled · 15 supplier briefs

Practice · IT Sourcing & Vendor Mgmt

A process the divisions will actually use.

Procurement rebuilt across $4B in annual spend and four divisions — and adopted, which is the part that usually fails.

$4B spend re-engineered · $115M+ documented savings · 486 vendors

How This Fits

Breadth to source.
Depth to judge.

Those two things are different, and most advisory firms conflate them. IQ4hire maintains 486 pre-validated vendor relationships across 17 categories, which is what lets an engagement start at a shortlist instead of a blank page. That is breadth, and it is genuinely useful.

A practice is a narrower claim: a category one of us ran in production, where the judgment comes from having been accountable for the outcome rather than from having read the market. We would rather tell you which of the two you are getting than imply deep operating history in all seventeen.

Outside these practices, the process is unchanged — structured evaluation, apples-to-apples scoring, a recommendation you can defend. More practices will be added as the receipts justify them, not before.
